Prawn Sambal

Sambal is a very important part of a malayasian meal and the prawn sambals are the easiest to make. The preparation can be done without any vegetables, but veggies like potatoes, long string beans can also be added along depending on the preference. The shrimp paste is a wonderful addition to the recipe, but if you dont have one, you can be substitute with dried prawns. Be careful not to overcook the prawns. A bit of tamarind can be added if you like a tangy taste. Enjoy the prawn sambal with steamed white rice.
